I am sure one of us could come up with some chrome for that ride!

I really like the lights on the saddle bags.

0 bids. what a shame some have no idea the love that went into that SE FatBoy.

I do like the bags, they came out great.  As far as some of the other stuff, sometimes you can go over the top.

I thought I was over the top. But I do give credit for originality and craftsmanship for fabbing his own medicine for OCD.

Over the top? You tell me....

Hey Kona, Love the cruise arms, Can I get the part number please? I looked at the kuryakyn site and it says they wont fit our bikes?????  Looks to me like they will. How much modding had to be done to get them to fit?

here is Kona's solution with the center brace

Remember, this is a prototype of the spoiler mod. It is close to what I will want for final product.

here is mine without the center brace

OK, We got the Mark IV's installed today, and it was not necessary to use flat head bolts, the Button heads did the job. Its really tight but the nose cone will go back up.

good luck

Kona,
Your bike is done tastefully right.  The wheels are a must in my opinion.  I couldn't believe they put the polished wheels on the 05 sefb when they had so many other better wheels in their inventory.  When I say over the top or just too much is when the change the bike totally to the point where someone like the one in the pic posted.  I can see a small windsheild, the bags are ok, but adding too many accessories can make a bike look ugly.  Some people will disagree with me, but you have to keep it tasteful!  Speaking of that, I got my new wheels on and I will post today.

I have to totally agree with you MikeD. That ebay bike is WAY too much. The airhorns, the back rest, the voltage cover.........I think it is butt ugly, nice bags though. Most of the members of this site have great taste in bikes and accessories, Kona is certainly in that group. That ebay bike though........it reminded me of a custom bike I saw in a magazine, some carpenter with a wood fetish made it with wooden spokes on the wheels and wooden handlebars etc......it just looked, well sort of clowny....like you can't believe someone would ride that thing. Different strokes for different folks.

I have seen many a good bike completely ruined with too much stuff bolted on it. You ever seen one of those cars that has all the little plastic figurines glued on it, the hood the roof with dingleberries etc....same thing, custom but ridiculous. I also saw some beautiful engraving on a bagger one time, too bad they engraved every single piece of metal on it.

Then again I feel the same about tattoos. I love tats, however most sleeves etc just look like a big blur of random tats, so many tats that not one of them stands out , might as well just splatter ink since the form of each piece of art is just blended into a colorful arm, making everyones sleeves look virtually the same once the ink bleeds a bit, unless you can pick through the crap to actually see what the hell the tats are......just looks like colored arms to me even though there could be some fantastic work in there........somewhere, you tell me where. There is such a thing as too much.
