D&D Fatcat - dealer/distributor
« on: January 15, 2008, 03:54:16 PM »

To those of you who have purchased D&D Fatcat exhaust - who is the preferred supplier?  The best price I have found so far is $569 plus shipping.  Has anyone discovered a better deal??

thanks... :2vrolijk_21:

I'm 99% sure...I need another 1% to get over taking off the Rinehart Tru duals that I like so much...but I think the D&D's will look great too, and I am convinced there is more performance to be had by going to 2 into 1....  I am also considering the Rinehart 2 into 1..but am leaning towards the D&D.  I will hang on to the Rinehart Tru Duals - I may just have to get another bike to put them on!!  Such dilema's...

I am also considering the Rinehart 2 into 1..

Scott

Scott,

Forget about the Rinehart 2:1, they are too big a pipe for your motor (i.e. equivalent to the D&D Boarzilla).  I have a 120 with D&D Fatcat and performance baffle, runs good.  You will be happy with the D&D.  The Rineharts have quality issues as well.  I know because I had them before going with the Fatcat.

If you still have doubt, ask Howie!

Pete,

You had Rinehart 2:1 before the D&D 2:1?  Did you dyno tune each?

Scott,

Yes, however, the Rineharts developed a 360 degree crack around the O2 bung hole on the rear cylinder and my tuner decided to do a couple of runs with that pipe wrapped with tape.  The pipe produced 124 hp/124 torque.  The D&D's produced 134 square with better torque curve (i.e. came in sooner and stayed there longer).  Better performance in the RPM range I ride in.

Dave Mackie recommends this exhaust for builds using his top end products. I didn't realize they were so cheap  cha ching, there goes some more of my income tax refund

B B,

Like me, ya just have to convince yourself to go from the look of the True Duals to a 2 into 1...  Hard to do...

Don't forget the ghost pipe !

I won't be doing a ghost pipe - but thanks for suggesting it...

If it isn't functional, I don't see the point of cleaning it!   ;)

The upside is a cool left saddlebag.  It is up to you on what to put in there...
