I went to  the dealer after selling my chopper with a S&S 113 in it( I missed the power and torque ) and told them what I that I had heard about the Jim's engine.  They haven't built one up so they are going to work with me on the price and already agreed to cut the labor in half for starters.  They are as excited about it as I am.  They have a sales guy from a dealer out of state that said they put one in and it made 125 horses and 135 ft #s on torque.  Nothing would be more fun than to roll up on some chopper and blow their doors off.  I'll let youknow how it goes.

Yeah, 'er 'uh, bighd1340,
I agree with MFG.  Don't let your emotions rule your business sense.  You'll have to do more Mods than just the Engine.  I doubt you can get the dealer to give you a firm quote.  Too many variables.  So, be prepared!  Speed cost money, man.  How fast do want to go?  Later--HUBBARD

The dealer I use is pretty good to me.  I paid under MSRP for my SEEG, less than retail on the Rineharts, downloads and extra chrome I bought and it was installed for free.  I don't know how trusting your dealer is but these guys are straight forward.  They know that I want an out the door price and not just an estimate.  However I am going to have to wait until the dealer show in July to even start the project.  Jims is rolling out a complete EFI motor so I don't have to add anything like a race tuner or a new throttle body.
With regards to how fast, it's not top speed, it's how fast you get there and that jerk your arms off feeling when you want it.

BigHD1340,

Somethings to consider before you go down this road.   You still have to deal with the weakest link theory.   I had  and still  have a 124 motor in my ultra not so much different than the electra glide.   The motor was basically 139 hp and 139 ft torque with no head work.   Keeping that in mind your going to need / want to switch over to a chain drive  and probably switch out your clutch to handle the increased power as well as look for a throttle body that will handle what your gas needs are probably 52 mm or larger.

Busting belts is an EASY thing to do and its not a covered item, so unless you can do it yourself its going to cost you approx 250 + labor to change it out when you bust your belt.   I could split them in half looking like a perfect knife cut so after the 3rd belt I converted to chain drive.   If your going to spend 8k on a motor why not just go to an S&S motor and then choose a fuel injection system like Horsepower inc or Zippers etc.   You may also want to consider changing your end drive ratios as well whether you go to chain or stay with belt drive.   Have to get the beast moving :)

Quite honestly you can open your intake opening to 1.800 and  go with a 116 bottom end to your motor and then get the heads done by STD or someone as good or better than pick up a Woods / Andrews cam , add in a  Horse Power inc 54 mm EFI with manafold , change out your pistons and boom you have a 142 horspepower 137 footpounds of torque SEEG.

Another option would be to look at Millenia Juggs and a set of heads and leave your stroke where it is and make your motor a 122 Cubes and just add in the Fuel and a set of heads / pistons.

Buying from Jims or anyone first out of the box is usually a receipe for lots of down time.

Just some thoughts to consider,

That response from unbalanced sounds very balanced to me.

Being the first out of the box may save you buckeroo's but at what cost in time?

Hubbard for you I went and dug up a dyno run to add whatever value.

True a dyno run isnt all that important nor reliable, but to break 11 sec quarter mile on an Ultra I think would surely support it runs perty good.

Hubbard,

I did not do the 116 bottom end, a guy i know Dave that raced one that was done by Carl's speed shop.  They put the S&S Fuel injection system on it and not Horsepower inc or Zippers.

Hubbard you were correct on the sizing of the EFI's though I put them down wrong Zippers was a 54 and HorsePower Inc is a 53.   I was just passing on the info in hopes it helps someone else or gives them other options.
