I'm from the Buffalo area.  yeah,, it's cold here.  but you can put on more cloths , or turn the heat up.  and sooner or later, it warms up.  yes we get good size snowfalls occassionaly.  BUT it eventually melts.

We don't get mud slides that wash our houses away. we don't get the hurricanes that tear our houses apart. We don't get the tornados that blow our houses away. or,, We don't get the vast brush fires that burn our property away.

SO,  people can pick on this area and make all the jokes they want.  I love going to Daytona.  great place to visit(but I wouldn't want to live there)

I live on an island between Buffalo and Niagara Falls.  Great place to live and I can't ever imagine leaving this area(other then sightseeing other areas of the country)



So,  I'll take the weird weather we are having.
we had 1/2 inch of snow this morning,  2 miles south they had 4 inches,  2 miles west they had 1 inch,  4 miles east they had 5 inches, and 1 mile north,,,, nothing.  really really weird weather.

Pretty cold here in Oklahoma today... mid 30's.  Supposed to be in the low 50's tomorrow and then cool back down early next week...I think I will have to get out for a short ride tomorrow

I rode with Jeff (Rooster452) to Stuart where he is having his SERK serviced (he rode my CUSE).... and then we went to the cigar shop to meet Mike (miker)....we chat for a while........had a great time. I took some pics with my iPhone but I pressed the wrong button

Well no snow here but it feels like everything is frozen up.  The wind just cuts right through you.
A little cooler in beautiful Maggie Valley but over there that is still   C O L D !

I'm just glad it finally froze here enough to kill off some of those 'bugs' that keep messing up my fairing.  (Hoist doesn't have that problem, 'cause it freezes a lot where he rides)  har!  spyder

We both rolled over instead of out this morning and when I did start to let the tv news filter into my brain, I heard them say it was 11 degrees.  Oh My!  This is not a low number for when I lived in Saskatchewan, but in Virginia, this is darn cold.  We decided to don robe and slippers and just sit here sipping coffee.  Nothing needing to be done so bad that need to go out in this.   

Man, I love federal holidays.
