The meeting starts on the 21st  (I believe).  A year to so ago they brought out the Nighster.  I know this is generally a clothing and Parts/Accessories show, but with the state of the economy in question, and the bike biz getting slower than it has ever been, I would love to here some of the questions or presentations these guys will hear and recieve.

Any thoughts?  Do we have an insider here? (I know, KHD was banned )

Went to the Internaional MC show on Friday here in Atlanta, through a factory rep learned that there is a distinct posibility that there will be a new model intro at the mid yr meeting - could not get any details except name which I dont remember.  No info on '09 CVO's although the factory people had big smiles on there faces when I asked about the Road Glide!

I think they referred to the new model as the 'Crossbone'.

I heard from my local HD dealer in NJ that the old style Springer with a Nostalgic look may be a new model in 2009.

Caught that too, they really want to pull in the young crowd (and need too) just not sure this hits home.

Readily admit I'm not "the young crowd" anymore so would have to do my homework to market toward them effectively.  This little bike hardly looks like a home run though.  It barely looks like an effort actually.  More like an excuse to list "expanded model lines" in the company report but have been able to do it on the cheap.

Little $1.98 old common emblem on the oil tank.  Spartan and spare (read: dull) look throughout.  And what's up with that seat?
