It's a 8 to 10 week wait on parts.
Here's a good one,
I needed a sportster tank,
dealer said it could take 2 to 10 weeks,
I was fine with 2 weeks
Dealer said I had to give a NONrefundable deposit before they could tell me if it was in stock,
So they wanted me to pay upfront to determine the shipping date, even if it was 10 weeks

Sorry about the damage to the new CVO, good to hear the bike is the only thing damaged. I busted the right saddlebag on my serk when I went down in the rain in 03. I had to wait all of the ten weeks for the part to come in.

That suck's! ..As far as the timing my dealer replaced both of my fenders due to paint problems. The front came in in two weeks the rear took 7 weeks. I think its really a crap shoot as to how fast they will come in. The good news is you did not get hurt and you can still ride.

Good luck, be sure to let us all know how it comes out.

And on a side note...be sure to thoroughly inspect the rear fender before you have the dealer install it!!

Not sure how much of a guidance it will be but in the past I've ordered a King tour pak, tour pak spoiler and saddlebag spoilers in our red.

OMG,  That is absolutly awful.  Someone in your town also with a red SEEG.... no why steal on of what you got, or just a good for nothing thief, going to see your pak on eBay in a couple of weeks?  Do we need to get some kind of locks?  This is the worst news.  So the chopped one got stolen, so the new pinstriping is safe.  What a crock, I still can't believe it.  I am so very sorry twolanerider.  I so want to be able to trust our fellow man, and they keep proving me that there is no reason for trust. My sympathies.  [smiley=nervous.gif]

Did you not have the detachable lock that Harley makes?

Nope.  Didn't even know it existed until it was pointed out to me a few days ago.
