B767Capt;

I think there may be a difference in torque specified by Harley and by the manufacturer of the Velva-ride mount?  In any event, if you reach under the front of that mount (bike parked and turned off preferably) can you turn the bottom piece of rubber? I noticed that mine turned after installation and they are sending me a new mount so they can measure the parts on mine.  They tell me there is supposed to be a slight compression of the bottom rubber piece.

Otherwise how do you like the new mount?

I love the new mount.  The motor doesn't shake as bad at idle.  Yea the instructions say to torque the big center bolt to 25 ft/lbs.  That is less than stock Harley.  No I can not turn the bottom rubber piece, however during install I noticed that I had to pry up the motor to get the mount in place and after the motor was released the plate was pushing down on the top rubber piece.  I have read in other forums where there should be a slight air gap between rubber and plate before the bolt is installed and torqued down.  Let me know if yours has an air gap.  My motor has been hopped up and wanted to change that front mount out as the motor really shook bad at idle.  10.8:1 and .652 lift gear cams.  This mount seemed to calm it down.

I am not sure how an air gap could exsist since the front mount holds up the front of the motor.  I had the factory send me another entire kit as they were sure something was not machined correctly.  That still did on tighten up the bottom bushing so I have taken it upon myself to have a new mounting plate machined.  This one is just slightly thicker (.090 inch) and should take up the small amount of space and cause the bottom bushing to be more invloved in the dampening action.
