Something like that - but oh the horrors I heard about putting a goldwingy thing on the bike  :o

My wife was using the the backrest "arms" to lift herself off the seat on bumps - not good.
I added speaker pods and butted them up against the arms for additional support, but who knows how long that will last.

I have been hoping to actually see a pair on a bike to make a decision.

What do you have in the back for shocks? Maybe an upgrade there will solve the other issues. It's just money, you can make more.  :)

I remember being concerned about some kind of addition for support for her back that actually bolted to the tour pak itself.  Afraid the pak body would crack and/or give way.

If it looks "wingy" you know you'll get chit about it.  That doesn't mean it's not a good idea for the need though :2vrolijk_21: .

I never was pleased with how the Progressives handled the bumps. They just don't have enough compression damping to prevent the bottoming. They were better than stock, but still bottomed an awful lot. Too much for me.

That's right.  There are times you do want form to follow function.  You just want it to do so from the garage behind you at home.

Especially the 12" version.
The next step up is just a bit much for now. Traxxion front and we'll see how the Bitubo's (?) work out after a year.

When the all the talk on the forum here was about how Progressive's were the next best thing since sliced bread many of us jumped.
Now the next step is significantly more money.

And there are so many other things I wan tto do to the bike .........................
