Thank you everyone for the great welcomes.
Texas Lunker and other that wonder, I work in the Telecoms industry, Network Management of fixed line, mobile phone networks, and the supporting fiber backbone and other bits and pieces you all probably use like sms and voice mail stuff.
Got out to Asia with British Telecom (they bought Tymshare/Tymnet-Cupertino CA. years ago when I was working for them). Later I joined OSI out of Folsom California based out of Thailand. Been consulting back to OSI and later Agilent Technologies on the NetExpert product since 2000.
Muffman, I worked for a year in Ottawa/Hull (1991- early 92) prior to going out to Asia. Montreal and Toronto I nice places to party. Ottawa and Hull were not shabby either.
Also spent about 6 months working around Washington DC prior to Canada project. Did a year in St. Louis 1989 working on a private network upgrade for South Western Bell (they are now AT&T again I think).
Now that I think about it, I been living out of suit cases since around 1988 after I lived in Santa Clara CA. for a year working for Tymshare/Tymnet.
Guess a couple saddle bags and duffel bag strapped on the back of a Harley will not be much different, just need some rain gear for the bad weather days.
Jacques, Texas Instruments sent me to Nice on 1980 for a week, it was in October so the beaches where deserted but Monaco and the Alps where great to drive in. Great food and table wines.

Virgina, Maine, Florida, all places I want to ride through, Miami and Key West, been 20+ years since my last trip down there.
Phuket, I use to go there very April 13-15 for the Thai Songkran festival (water festival - adult water gun fight for 1 1/2 days) but stopped around 2001 because Phuket is really crowded now, not the sleep little island paradise it use to be. Did go back to look after the Tsunami and again last year with some friends I worked with in India. Here is a picture from the view point showing Patong, Karon, and Kata beaches. If you ever have a chance to visit Phuket, it is worth one visit for sure. So is Boracay Philippines.
Aushog, see you around town.
