What ever happended to the Tour-Pak for 2008 model? I have been looking for it everywhere. It is listed in the 2008 catalog as part nr. 53092-05, but nowhere to be seen.

There is no product that matches the search criteria.

Don't remember a reptile print leather pak.  The flamed leather pak to match the SERKs is part number 53057-07.

That P/N is right I just looked in the 2008 P/A Catalog page 420 Item "C".

Ok, just did a google search using "harley reptile print leather tour pak."  This is the first link that came up.  Straight from the Harley website.  The P&A catalog apparently has a misprint on the part number.  Try 53092-08.

Just looked at all that more closely.  D'uh, should have seen it right off the bat.  If it's a new part release it wouldn't be an 05 part number.

No problem.  Feel like a dummy for not immediately just noticing the 2005 part number for a new 2008 released part.  Should've been able to point you in the right direction immediately but just wasn't paying close enough attention. 

Unfortunately the picture on the P&A website didn't zoom in very close.  So couldn't see well just what this pak will look like.  When you finally get it be sure and post some good pictures .

I will, I will. The bike is not scheduled to arrive at the shop before next week. Outside it is below zero and snow everywhere so I have to be a little bit patient. They have promissed to call me and let me in on the unpacking. The wait is killing me.

Congrats on all the fun and all the anticipation.  It's something we nearly all remember with that mix of fondness and pain (and loss of sleep) that accompanied it.  You've got awhile to get prepared for riding weather (or even daylight!) so just think of the accessory parts pile you'll have time yet to collect .

I think you have it all figured out for now, but here are a couple pictures of mine installed.





I did have to do a bit of modifying to make the TP fit for us a bit better.  Both my wife and I are on the larger side of average and we found that even in the rear mounting postion the TP is too far forward.  It's a couple inches forward of the passenger's back rest.  I redrilled four new holes in the chrome mounting plate and moved the TP rearward on the mount.  I see now that there are new horseshoe mount tubes available from Kuryakyn that moves the TP back about 3" to start giving you lots of possible mounting positions.

The picture kind of looks a little red, but it is just the flash, not the TP.

That's a good look Dan.  Nice looking parts.

Those leather paks are a bit on the small side.  But they do well enough.  Really looks good with the bags.
