New Kuryakn Catalogue
« on: February 04, 2008, 09:54:54 PM »

I bought the chrome frame covers for Elvis from Kuryakyn, so now I get their catalogue in the mail. I have to say, they've got some sweet looking OCD items in there. I will be making a list for LD for sure. I notice there's an entire section of performance parts as well. Does anybody know anything about their Hi-Po stuff. If so, spill yer guts as I'm sure other members would be interested as well.

PS
Even though I spent 20 minutes figuring out what section to post this in, I am sure one of the moderators will move this thread. I mean Heaven forbid I actually had the brains to put it in the right place. See I figured it was motorcycle related, but not specific to any model so "other " would be the place. HOWEVER, once one of you posts about the performance parts them one of them moderators will move it to where THEY think it should be, " to make it easier for people to find " will be the excuse I am sure.  :P

I met a guy in Daytona during Biketoberfest last year who had a pile of chit done using Kuryakyn heads ,cams etc & even had a set of crusher mufflers on his 05 RK. He said the performance is excellent & he lives close to Watertown MN. Mike Roland actually put his bike on the tuner at their World Class tuning facility. I don't know the guy from Adam but I have to tell you that the sound of the pipes was sweet. Other than that I know of no one personally that has had mods done.

Their catalog is the slickest catalog of any that I've seen.......not speaking of the items listed, just the actual catalog itself.  1st class in graphics and the whole deal.  It's worth ordering something ea. year just to get the catalog.  :) spyder

Spiderman,

I am not sure about the forum rules regarding referring to other forum sites, but there is a site that has a fairly good collection of dyno charts of bikes using the Kury/Wild Things components. If someone will let me know if its ok, I will be happy to post the links.  I have to say, they are pretty impressive, especially when you get to the 103's.  A couple of guys have 95" kits that are hitting close to 120 hp.  The common theme with their builds is that the valve train is very quiet and the are very well mannered.  Wide smooth power band.  Down side, if you go with their complete kit, heads, cam, pistons, throttle body, exhaust....it can get pretty pricey.  But......so does any one else when you start trying to get that much power.

Big B..Kathy's FLHX has a 2G cam with head work , stock cylinders bored, CP pistons, done by their guy in Wisconsin. Of course you know her bike has been very reliable. Not a wrench on it in 15,000 miles. Numbers are 101/101. One thing about her build that I am not pleased about is that the front cylinder pings slightly if you ride it like grandma. I think that the pipes, Bassani true duals with V&H round slip ons, are causing this. I want to try rhinehart slip ons. They have less backpressure that should alleviate the slight pinging.

All work and parts $1800. Have sold about a dozen of this setup to guys around here, on 2005 bikes.

Thanks for the link Jim....might be a dumb question, but is their any discount if I buy thru you or do you get a benefit if I buy thru you. I'd rather buy thru you if it doesn't cost more. Let me know your opinion. Thanks again  :2vrolijk_21:   Jon

Soo, me and Bubba put together a list of things for Jim to sell us from the new Kuryakn catalogue seeing as how our site bro was offering a discount. Wouldn't you know it, the one thing I really wanted - - - the new chrome nacelle accent piece (#3780) is a back order I probably won't see in time for Sedona. AIn't it my luck,
