I'm not sure if he decided on that backpack because of it looking like a "Harley-Davis" backpack or because of the flames.  His dad is also a firefighter (in the metro-Atlanta area) so who knows which obsession was kicking in!

V, I guess you all are all year school?  I missed kindergarten for both my kids  :-\, but I know my wife had a really hard time with it, especially my son! 

Now she can't wait for them to get back to school.  Was informed it's 25 days to go when I got up this morning!

It's a modified year-round program.  I like it but some parents don't.  They get off a fall break, an extra week at Christmas, and a few days extra in the Spring.  It makes vacationing great, but some parents have problems finding daycare.  Luckily, the parks and rec started day camp programs just for that reason at the different gyms all over the county.  Great place to live and raise kids.  Small schools, good teachers, lots of activities, and an hour away from both Chattanooga and Atlanta.  Not too bad for entertainment either here or nearby.  Oh yea and three colleges for them to choose from if they decide they don't want to go away to college.  (Little do they know that is MY requirement after trying that with one of mine!  He's OFF to school this fall!  Teaches them to grow up and fend for themselves!)
