The fields are starting to look like Indy Car line ups.
I guess we all need to remember, Toyota builds more units in the United States than any of the domestics.
Before we get to wound though, at the Chrysler meeting this week former Toyota USA President and now Chrysler Exec. Jim Press pointed out a big advantage that Chrysler now has over the import brands building cars in the USA is the Chrysler "union" contract.
The imports for the most part are "non-union" and had to match the old UAW contract to avoid unionizing. Now the UAW contract is actually more competitive for the domestic brands and the imports are stuck with the bigger contract and if they move to cut wages the union is standing by to move in.
What goes around comes around and the domestics have a plan to stabilize market share and compete in the world market.
