I down loaded iTunes and have no problems with music form a CD.....which for me is amazing :huepfenlol2:

I don't know how to take a DVD and download it to iTunes and put it on the iPod ......from what I understand I need another piece of software to make the DVD into MP3 format to be able to put it on the iPod

I have used both Videora and Moviepod with equal success.
http://www.nullriver.com/products/moviepod

But I don't download DVD movies, just doesn't make sense to watch movies on the ipod.

What I have downloaded are videos that are good to show people, like all the Grouchy Media vids

You do lose quality in going for a full screen movie to the iPod. On some of the Grouchy Media videos I watch frequently ("Helo Thunder" is excellent) I can notice missing parts.

I do believe you gave him this new toy, right?

I mean, a new fishing rod would have worked too, and you would not have to be involved in how to make it work.

I watch movies on my Ipod all the time -- great for long airplane rides or on the treadmill at the gym.

Went with http://www.e-zsoft.com/DVD-to-iPod-Converter.html and can not say any thing good about this software. Their customer service is also horrible. Am trying to get my money back from them today.

Audio and video is so far off that you will get sick trying to watch a movie.
