Chief,

We're looking forward to getting back there already!  FYI, we had the seafood buffet on Friday night and it was incredible!  The buffet had grilled tilapia, fried shrimp, peel & eat shrimp, stuffed crabs, salad bar, all kinds of veggies including twice baked potatoes and your choice of either one pound of crab legs or a sirloin steak!  Not bad for $19.99 (oh, I forgot to mention the dessert bar!)

How much was the all-u-can eat possum. :nixweiss: and do they have anchoivies.  :confused5:

Looks like a great trip! I can't wait to go back there in March. What a great area to ride! I'll be glad when winter is over!

For you Dave, we'll make sure they've got anchovies!  Why don't you and Helen ride on up with Jorge ad Martha.  You guys could have your own pick up ride and meet us all in Blairsville!  Now all you guys have to do is get busy planning.  Would sure love to see you guys in Georgia, but we are also looking forward to seeing you in Daytona in a few days!

Ilene and I had a great time this past weekend.  We feel so fortunate to have such good friends and to have some of the best roads in the country so close to us.  We can't wait to see everyone again in March and do it all over again.  The folks that run the Lodge are the best and really seem to enjoy our bunch being there.

I've heard about this place. Thought it might be a little pricey but is it worth it?

Fairly priced.  A gem in the North Georgia mountains.  You can certainly spend more and get less, but I think you would be hard pressed to spend less and get more anywhere!  Good people, great location, comfortable lodge atmosphere and did I mention good people?  Absolutely great place for a small to medium sized group to get together for good times.  See you there in March?

You're in luck.

Check this thread out. It's the same one SBB posted above, but I still want to post it. Copperhead Lodge Spring Fling March 27, 28, 29 and 30, 2008

30% off of rates until 3/31. We've got all of the lodge rooms booked as well as a few of the cabins. I'll check with them today to see what's still open.

As an alternative for lodging, there are a couple of motels in Blairsville about 6 miles away that will be able to handle any overflow.

We'd love to have you join our fun little group.
