found one in austraila

Thanks Neal. I'll keep an eye on it. But it's at 46 bucks with 3 days left. They think that thing retails for 250 bucks down there! :nixweiss:

But then again, maybe it'll just sit there. Cool! I'll give it a shot. ;)

Thanks Muff! :2vrolijk_21:

No metric though, Deg F. ;)

Hoist! 8)

Yeah, you're right. It will be metric. Same as the one in Australia will be.

Ya'll know I do things bass ackwards anyway! ::) ;D

I picked up HD's 2 pod Micro Gauge Bracket and 1-1/2" Micro Gauges for Oil Pressure and Voltmeter. HD states their gauges won't work with a windshield bag. As usual, I don't believe them. What do ya'll think? Fit, or not fit? Looks to me like these will work OK.

Also, my oil temp dipstick still works fine. But not very reliable from what I've been hearing. I always liked a voltmeter too. If your dipstick craps out, would you replace the voltmeter with an oil temp gauge instead, and rely on the Battery Light?

Thoughts to ponder. As usual, pics of all this to follow after install. That won't be til after the new motor gets installed. What do you SERKer guys think? ;)

You know how H-D sells a clock and temp guage with a tap that holds them to a screw from your handlebar controls. You might try something like that if the guages aren't too heavy
                                                  OR
You could make a bracket out of billet that clamped to your handlebars about 1/2 up the rise on each side with the guages on the inside of the bars, one guage on each side. If we had etch a sketch on the posting part of this site, I'd draw you a picture of what I'm thinking about. Anyway, seems simple to me and would look trick too.
                                                      OR

Another option would be to mount them to the console strip below your speedo. Make a couple of round stainless cups to hold the guages, mount them on a flat piece of guage stainless plate, tig weld nicely, polish and mount over the stock console strip with a piece of thin rubber between to protect your stock console and absorb any vibration.

Think outside the box and the universe is the limit

Thanks B B, but I have the gauges already installed, and I'm thrilled with them. Pics here: http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=20756.msg341554#msg341554

Now I'm looking to stockpile the Oil Temp gauge, in case I want to swap the Voltmeter out for it later down the road. Other than that, I'm already good to go. The box I was thinking outside of, got me the exact set of gauges I wanted. Looking for future flexibility now is all. ;)
