I guess you're right about that. I just need to find somebody local to me that is a good wrench and hates detailing. We could then barter our services and both be happy. :2vrolijk_21:

Chief,
I have been following the rebuild, and I think that you are doing a great job.
But, I am glad it's you and not me. That is intensive. It is going to look awesome. :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

Awesome job Chief!  You're posts are informative and a great source of entertainment. At age 19 in 1973 I built a chopper from the ground up, but possess neither the patience or expertise to to attempt what you are doing. My hats off to you! Keep posting more updates!  ( I feel like I am addicted to a soap oppera, waiting to see what's going to happen next)

I need to shoot by and see this project in person.

I noticed you cutoff the rear license tag bar.  what are you going put there.  Anything like this?

Chief,
I know this may have been answered before.  How did you keep the title on the frame legal?
Or is there such a problem on motorcycles? :nixweiss:

This is absolutely incredible.  I have a place in Grovetown, and the next time I am in Georgia I would very much like to see your bike in person if we happen to be in the same place at the same time.

Vag

It wasn't a problem at all. To get a new frame I had to cut off the head of the old frame and send it in to Harley. The new frame was issued with the same VIN stamp. The VIN stays the same and the title is unaffected. The bike was never totaled so a salvage title is an issue.
