cvo nascar engine debut
« on: February 19, 2008, 08:58:00 AM »

i finally got to see Harley cvo nascar engine, i do not know what to say. its a v8, crankshaft are 4 SE103 forged wheels in in-line fashion welded. it is about as true as presidential campain speech. crankcases are nice looking. they use 8 cvo 110 cylinders in a liquid cooled manner. at tec there was some oil leakage, nascar inspector other full time job is a warranty adminstator at Harley Davidson. says he can see any problem with leakage. they use 8 SE103 heads from 05 engines, reason for this, no need for restrictor plates due to low air-flow. engine has 2 -51mm carbs on top the V8 figuration. engine is attached to high geared 6 speed for better fuel milage.  exhaust is 4 into 2 too keep the bagger look. it sounds like an out tune saxophone played by Kenny G, sorry not you Willy G. i think it has a lots of potential, we see in the comming season.  the frame was built by Eric buell in the car of tomorrow specification with a rear soft tail suspension set up. the Toyota's driver hate this car. charlie

Typical HD engineering by Willie G.  Go find another company/race team to do your R & D and then see if it will work in the open market.  Seems like a long way to go to watercool a bagger to me :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:
