The price of service is based on Building rent,Wage expense,Heating and cooling expense as well as the electric bill all this is passed on to the customer- So the price paid for service always seams to high, After all they are doing just what ever other person in (Business) and the service inds. does.

Yea bro'. I have the same bike. I got mine serviced as per manual on the money 'with the money.' But it is probably some bullchit. My main interest was keeping my warranty good. Supposedly it is the Springer front end that needs looked after above all else in the HD world! Currently I am also running Syn 3 in all holes in my joint since the ' 500 mile service .' But believe me I am done with that sh*t!

500 miles is correct, springs must be checked on the springer, the dealers dont even know that,the shop manual says it also
