I am new to this site and love it. I just purchased a 2007 FXDSE Midnight Rush and Black Pearl.It only has 820 miles on it,previous owner had some financial issues and was forced to sell.His loss my gain and I'm stoked.It has Vance and Hines Big Radius pipes but otherwise stock.I should have it tagged and on the road in a few days,and can't wait for the weather to break here in Maryland.All the motor issues 110 owners are having does have me a little worried though.The factory warranty runs out July 09 should I just run it and wait and see before purchasing an extended warranty? Thoughts? Thanks Dave
the way I understand how the extended warranty works you buy it within 90 days and less than 600 miles and surcharge of $150.00 does not apply. Once that has passed not much incentive to buy until the very end (before warranty runs out).
also any dealer can sell warranty so either shop for he best repair shop and for price, but if I had a really good dealer that was a little higher on the extended plan I would buy from them.
I am not much for those plans but I found myself buying the extra 5 years (total 7) for the $1350.00 + tax. I have the Ultra and with the 110 I just wanted money issues to be a separate problem. I might have wished I had not later but I am not worrying about the 110 now. I know the down time is a big issue with some, but I also have 3 bikes 1998 RK and 2003 SE DEUCE. I am never without a ride.
