I got a similar story.
In the 1980s the Norfolk FOP owned and operated a country club in Virginia Beach, Va. One night  a week they would have a Bingo Night and it was run by off-duty officers. Many off-duty officers also played bingo there too. This club also had a restaurant and other rooms and activities so it is usually full of cops.
A guy who was a busboy at the club decided to rob the front table of the bingo hall. As he came through the wooden doors with a gun drawn demanding money he was greeted with multiple rounds fired in his direction. He fell backwards through the doors and received multiple wounds but survived to go to jail for his attempt. He knew who sponsored the games too. Many thought he had a "death wish."

When the people lose their guns only criminals will have machete's.  Holy Crap, they're from the frickin' place where men have real knives.  (at least the croc hunters do)

I guess at 16 and 20 they don't have fully developed brains however.

Hell, it wasn't a hundred years ago.

USAF, July 15, 1967, I was 17 and my parents actually had to sign for me to join before I was 18.

You wouldn't have the de-evolution could have occurred in this short of a time.  I can assure you it has however.  There are exceptions as with anything but unfortunately these two wankers represent too large of a percentage of the population for my liking. :bananarock:

As evidenced by many of my employees, 30 is the new 20.

While waiting for some files to download early this morning, I scanned CNN.com and came upon this story.

...As evidenced by many of my employees, 30 is the new 20.
I think the younger folks I've met of late, have a "lacking" problem.  Lack of hunger and lack of having no home.  Getting everything handed to them breeds this new "you need me more than I need you" attitude.

I know when I set out on my own - well ok after a failed marriage, I had a car.... some clothes ... and rented a not so nice basement suite.  You know, I was able to work at least enough for food, rent and gas.  It may not have been great, but I never failed to meet the basic requirements.  And I never had an attitude that my boss owed me any favors nor did they have to beg me to come to work. I learned early that if you work hard and apply yourself, when a position came open, I was considered first.
