Wall storage racks for detachable Tour Pak & windshield
« on: March 07, 2008, 04:05:08 PM »

I am looking into purchasing a wall mount storage rack to hang my Tour Pak in the garage for safekeeping. I found these on Ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEBTOX:IT&item=330217609182&_trksid=p3984.cTODAY.m238.lVI

and these on Eglidegoodies
http://www.eglidegoodies.com/id130.html

I have seen ads for others. What are CVO members using/recommending? Any positive or negative input will be appreciated.

I saw the post on the stands for washing saddlebags / bike. http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=7394.0 Probably get set for the bags for just that purpose.

Thanks    JW

I'm not much of a "wrench" or "do it youselfer" but I just went to Home Depot and bought some angle iron drilled out the proper holes, put it up on the wall, used some bolts and rubber washers I got while at the home depot and viola, homemade rack.  I made two of these, one holds two windshields and one holds the tour-pak.  They don't look fancy, but they work and they cost me about $20.00 total.

If you don't want to go that route, I believe we had a member that was making and selling these as well.  I am sure Gary will remember who that was.  He knows all.  :2vrolijk_21:

Made my own also.  A bit of scrap 2x and some .25" steel rod from the home center store.  Less than an hour and just a few bucks hung two tour paks, four helmets and a luggage rack.

Horsepower is how fast you hit a wall.Torque is how far you will take the wall with you.

Nope, nothing fancy at all.  Just 30 bucks or so of 2x, steel rod and plastic coated hooks holding up probably 3k or so of tour paks and helmets.

Got the Eglide Goodies windshield mount and it is great. I don't remember where I got my tourpak mount but it is a terrific one, it's 16" wide with angle shelf for the tourpak to lock on to.
