Couldn't help getting into this discussion. I was 62 when I first swung a leg over a bike on the FRONT seat. It was my husbands 07 883. OOOOPS. Went real fast for about 15 feet! Got up, said "----- it!" and went home to enroll in the motorcycle safety course. Took it, loved it. Rode a Honda VLX for 11 months and 7000 miles. Got online, found a FXR4 in northern Iowa ( a gazillion miles away) and bought it. Got it, love it, would recommend it to any woman for a powerful, fast, nimble ride which is low enough and incredibly well-balanced. The FXR of any year is a great woman's bike. I am now 64, and ride everyday. The FXR has given me the confidence to take myself just about anywhere I want to go, and is light and nimble enough to be a dream to handle. Try one, you will like em.
I am 5'5", weigh 140#.....and OLD. Husband has a sporty, and a Softtail Heritage. I can ride either one, and the softtail is like riding a couch down the road, but is heavier and not as nimble. I love my FXR.
