I have to fall on my sword and admit I'm varying a little.  But only a little.  Non stock chages will be:

Windshield was too short.  Had to do something taller.

The mix of black and chrome on the handlebar mounted parts always drove me nuts on these bikes.  This one is now all chrome.

Changed the ugly bolts on the engine and trans to stainless.  Caliper bolts too.

Installing the EZ Pull clutch thing (but you can't see that so it doens't count; right?).

Installing a garage door opener transmitter inside the fairing (same "you can't see it rule applies).

Will later very likely install the HD security system (hopefully also covered by the "you can't see it" rule)

That's it though.  And don't plan on anything else.  Love the look just the way it's going to set now.

Must've missed it . . . . painted inner-fairing didn't make the cut? :nixweiss:

That's a "return to stock" though.  Or at least a return to how stock was supposed to be.  So though it is a task for the bike.  I'm not counting it on the variance from stock list.

Windshield was too short.  Had to do something taller.  And adding that chrome windshield trim that Harley offers.

Don...I don't know if they'll fit, but I've got a couple of the regular security modules off the Ultra and the V in the cabinet collecting dust...will one of those work on the SERG?  Or does the wiring harness on the SERG differ for the security module plug?  I had replaced both of mine with the new pager style, so these are just in the way.

In and of themselves they would TC.  But the 2000 models are a bigger chore.  They came out of the box with nothing preconfigured for the security system.  Later models have the primary security harness as part of the main harness.  Other bits already there too.

2000 requires the security system kit plus another installation kit.  It drops the 2000 TSM for the security module.  Adds a harness.  Picks up those other bits.  Then gives you a place to plug the module.  A bit of a chore actually.

I'll try to price out the other bits individually.  See if it's much cheaper to use a module and the extra bits separately or just get the kit.

HOT DAMN!

A member of this site sent me a message that he knew where a "RARE" SERG cover was.
A never been taken out of the bag cover.
He said he was going to check it out and if it was indeed one of those "RARE" SERG covers he would send it to me.
I got a PM this afternoon when I got home.
My "RARE" SERG cover is on the way to my house!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
The bike will be complete!

Being complete I guess that means 75K is just the starting bid!
I love this place!
