The clutch feels a little "notchy" on mine.  Anyone else? :nixweiss:

Not this red one.  Just a normal manual clutch.  It actually doesn't even pull all that hard.  Wouldn't take very long at all to get used to it again.  But the EZ Pull thing was cheap.....

There was a recall on the clutch cables on the '00s.  (Don't recall now just what it was for, but might want to check to see if yours has been taken care of.)  Mine's had it replaced, but feels a little stiff.  Maybe it's not the cable. :nixweiss:

I ran the VIN and no recalls showed up for this bike.  Will do a bit of homework to make sure though.  Lubed everything on yours?

Yeah.  It's a leeeeeetle better after the lube, but still not near as smooth as the FXR3's.  Maybe one of those burnouts or wheelies Gary was talking about would beat it into submission? ::)

Put a hydraulic kit on it.  Then you won't feel anything. :huepfenlol2:

Yep, that's the plan.  Not if, just when.

Those EZ Pull widgets make a surprising amount of difference.  I imagine I'll never do anything else with mine once that's done unless something just breaks.  Then all bets are off.

That is correct!
With 4 manuals and 1 hydraulic, I have gotten use to the manuals.

I got a bag for the cover.  Have no idea if it was the original bag, if there was an original bag, or if it's something prior ownership stuck it in later.  Since it is beautiful bright pink with "Hello Kitty" symbols all over it I'm guessing it's stock though...  :confused5:

Wait, that's Parker's toy bag.  The bag for the cover was different.......

The bag that came with this cover is the same material; or at least close enough to the same that someone that doesn't know anything about different cloth materials can't tell the difference.  This one is kind of a dark grayish black color.  Might have started out black and gone through the laundry sometime :nixweiss: .

Cover fits it pretty well.  That's good enough for me.

I have to fall on my sword and admit I'm varying a little.  But only a little.  Non stock chages will be:

Windshield was too short.  Had to do something taller.  And adding that chrome windshield trim that Harley offers.

The mix of black and chrome on the handlebar mounted parts always drove me nuts on these bikes.  This one is now all chrome.

Changed the ugly bolts on the engine and trans to stainless.  Caliper bolts too.

Installing the EZ Pull clutch thing (but you can't see that so it doens't count; right?).

Installing a garage door opener transmitter inside the fairing (same "you can't see it rule applies).

Will later very likely install the HD security system (hopefully also covered by the "you can't see it" rule)

That's it though.  And don't plan on anything else.  Love the look just the way it's going to set now.
