Tony,

Do you have any dyno numbers with these re-cored mufflers?

Thanks  :)
Not as yet.  I'm still trying to get the "re-break-in" miles on the motor since the cylinders were replaced.  Road home today in sleet and rain  ;D... When I've got the miles in plan to get back to the tuner and see what he can squeeze out of her.  I'll post here.

sleet and rain :'( that is some bad weather to try and break-in a motor. I feel sorry for you but weather always changes and spring is just around the corner.

I have some V&H slip-on Ovals right now. The re-cored mufflers, how would they compare to the V&H Ovals? Also, it looks like you can order them with 1.75 or 2.0 inch cores, which did you go with?

Thanks  :2vrolijk_21:

I knocked the catalytic convertors out of mine.  Sound wise, it did not make a lot difference.  It is louder but not much.  I would say it flows better.

john

I just bought some take-offs from an '07 SEUC and drilled out the catalyst material ... My plans are to install them on my '08 SEUC this weekend.  Just curious, did you have to do anything with the O2 sensors or the tuning of the scoot when you knocked out the catalyst material on yours?  I am not looking for louder, just a bit deeper tone and better flow of air.

And the result ?

I cored catalytic converters with 1 5/8" hole saw.seat of pants dyno says much better throttle response ,also quiet idle and cruise somewhat louder at WFO.
