Got about 500 on her now. Damn thing still won't stop puking. Even with the big bead of K&N filter grease between the filter and backplate. A little better than before, but it didn't stop it. The next step is to cut the backplate where it connects to the heads, to allow room for a fitting and banjo bolt, and pipe it to the ground. Man I wish these things still breathed thru the bottom end! :nixweiss:

But the bike's still running great. I can't seem to get the oil temp above 190. Today never exceeded 177. Oil Pressure when warm at idle is 15 PSI. Motor's super quiet. Bringing it in next week for 500 mile service and oil change. Will be able to start bringing it up to 3000, then 3500 RPM before bring it in for the next service at 1000 miles. Howie,

  I have a several hundred miles on now... I am not seeing any puking at all... Not a drop...  I am trying to remember what things are different about our motors...??  I think we have the same heads, cams, pistons, rings and rocker boxes.  I am running the Feuling race oil pump and Feuling cam plate...   Anyway, I literally do not have a drop of blow by...   :nixweiss:

With the same rocker boxes only I've got only the slightest amount of dots of oil.  And it seems to be diminishing.  Am hoping that when it finally gets down to 1/2 quart low or so it will have found it's happy place and be about done too.

I run about a quarter quart low...always have...seems to work... :nixweiss:

This sounds like an old racing trick, keep the oil from being picked up by the piston from the crank case, otherwise the oil would increase the rotation resistance of the crank shaft. Only this is suppose to be a dry sump engine.  :nixweiss:

I just got back with the bike. They put 4 qts in and it was puking pretty good. I dropped a 1/2 qt out of it and it's much better, but not good enough. I'm going to modify the HPI 62 MM TB A/C backplate to get the breather to the ground. I'm using the S&S reed valve breather. We thought that would help, Maybe it made it worse. Who the hell knows. I get it to puke to the floor and the I really don't GAS about it anymore! That's the next step on this.

TODAYS UPDATE:

How about some pics of the new mods. The Zumo's on w/the XM/Nav Traffic/Weather. I have it connected to the 2 Wheel Tunes 50W/Ch amp and 2" bullet speakers. Doesn't sound too bad at all. But when that TP arrives and I get the 75W/Ch HW amp w/6.5" Polk speakers in the pods, I'm sure it'll do the trick. It's not that great right now w/the Performance Fatcats drowning them out. But at 80 I can hear it OK. Not good, but OK.

I have the HID's in now. Man, what a difference. But them Halogen spots gotta go now. I have the PIAA Extreme Whit bulbs which I'll install in the old lams I have and see if that helps. You can see in the pic how drasticly different the 2 lamps are. The pics are taken in broad daylight. But you can still se the difference. It's gotta be major at night!

Bike's running fantastic! I'm able to take it to 3 grand now. So of course I'm doing that at every shift! Can't wait til it's fully broken in. I just hope I can stay out of jail!!! ??? ;D ;)
