Reduced antenna lenght
« on: March 15, 2008, 04:37:52 PM »

It is a mess getting my CUSE3 in and out of the garage due to the full lenght antennas.

Is there a easy fix to this problem?

One of the most popular fixes for that are the J&M shorties. You can get them here... www.jmcorp.com.

Thank you wenchal.

But what does "limp weeiner" mean? It is Greek to me, I am only a simple Norwegian.

Like a wet noodle.  Floppy and not rigid.

The J and M antennas are short but rigid.

Any reduced signal quality with the shorties?

I put them on mine and they work great, no discernible signal loss. I usually listen to XM on the road, but I still get all my favorite local stations as before.

The J&M's are great.  They provide roughly the same reception as the stock whips, and IMO, look a lot better too.  ;D

You can loop the antennas over and snap the top ball into the latch of tour pack lid.
My dealer showed me that trick for when I back into sidewalks.

Another trick is to pull the tip of the whip forward and tuck it under the rear of the switch on each speaker pod. Once I found that place to stow them, I never did any of the old tricks again. Then I sold the bike. :)
