V&H Basics vs Bassani 4"
« on: March 16, 2008, 09:34:39 PM »

Just wondering if anyone can give me a comparison between the V&H Basics and the Bassani 4" mufflers?  Both are 4" cans. Sound wise which is the loudest?  I have a '06 SEUC with V&H true duals.

The Bassanni will be the quieter of the two. It has a full length baffle where the V&H has a small baffle at the end of the muffler.

Hey Super,

That was what I was thinking.  I had the V&H Basics on an '04 Road King and they were at the top of my loudness tolerance.  I'm currently running the V&H Ovals on my '06 SEUC with the duals.  They are also on the top end of my tolerance and at times I feel they have a little metallic sound to them.  I think I'll give the Bassani's a try this spring.  If they don't produce the sound I want they will be for sale either on this site or eBay.  I did hear a 88" with the 4" Bassani's and it really sounded great.  Low deep rumble and not too loud.  However, I've found that everything sounds different on this 103".  And louder.
