search help==Garage door opener thread

d00d ( or someone)

I recall a thread with photos and a discussion os the GDO with photos....
I have the fairing open....  and i seem to recall a discussion of the small red LED blinking when the GDO has power ( it doesnt) so..i was hoping to find that thread ( naturally I cant)

any help or ideas on the GDO

The only thing I can add is the piece under the fairing should blink when you switch from low to hi beam or vice versa.

may try the memory dump thing on the door opener

I haven't had the bat wing apart and I posted the red LED is on the GDO receiver that will be the black box for the garage door side. You pug that in andn hold the programming button down while alternating the hi/lo beam light until the red LED blinks to program-then attach the wires supplied to your garage door opener wher the manual button attaches-then plug the wires into the box and plug the box into 110 power and the hi/lo switch should be programmed and voila! Or Read your owners manual if all else fails

That picture is not of my bike it was in one of the threads (HOW IN THE WORLD DO I HOOK UP GARAGE DOOR OPENER?? HELP!!!!) I found when I was searching the boards for the information on the garage door openers.

Scott....try unplugging the receiver on the garage door opener for 10 seconds, then re-linking your transmitter after plugging back in.  We had to do that with Ken's the other day...it was confused or something and would not work on his B/O Jester, or the Vrod.  After clearing it's mind, both bikes linked up and worked the garage door.  And we were hungover when trying to figure that chit out...
