And it wasn't. I took a peek to see if I needed to grind away for some clearance and I couldn't see it hitting anywhere. I have seen pictures of where they are hitting and it was ok. I did this for peace of mind, since some people have had problems with the 07's. Info only.

If the spring keepers are hitting it is very noticeable. Did you hear anything, or just want to have a looksey?

And you would do this because ? ? ? ?  as opposed to showing your dealer the problem and getting it fixed under your warranty ?

Well the 110's don't really sound that quiet, every dealer says it's normal according to people on this site. I know a lot of the 07's were rubbing, I didn't like the the idea of it hitting, i can live with the way it sounds, but I didn't want to leave it if it was rubbing. My bike is brand new with 100 miles now on it. I have been working at a car dealer for 20 years as a mechanic, so I'd rather do stuff like this myself, seeing it didn't need any parts if it was a problem. I also would rather not deal with taking it in and being told it was normal, I doubt they would have inspected it just because I said it happens.

Funny thing is my friend bought an 07' 110 and from day one I told him they were hitting. He told the dealer a year ago, and they said they never heard of it. So, he takes it in for some different cams and stuff to try to hop it up to keep up with my stock 08' and the (friend/mechanic) at the Harley dealer said, look it is rubbing the rocker box when he took it apart. He said "remember, I told you about that last year".

Unbalanced (Harry) said he heard a sound coming from mine with only 2000 miles on it. I told the dealer at the time and they said they checked it. You can see from previously posted pictures that didn't happen!

First time my bike had a leak it had 7,500 miles on it. Told the dealer to check the rocker boxes. Was told they were fine. Then I saw the pictures that were posted on here and knew where to look. Bike started leaking again at 10,000 miles so I took it to a different shop. I looked at the boxes and they were hitting. The tech ground them down. Motor is now a lot quieter and no leaks.14,000miles
