Where is the new ThunderMax
« on: March 26, 2008, 10:41:25 PM »

I sent Thundermax an emial last Dec asking if they have a autotune for 2008's they said by end of first quarter. No updates on their web site suggest they have one yet and they are not answering my second email sent two weeks ago.
Did they give up, anyone know??

I can tell you they have not given up on the Thunder Max project. Try giving them a call. 301-621-2311.

Another Zippers product HUH?

I have two good friends that have nightmare experiences with zippers.
As far as any of their product my options in my decision to use them is listed below.

1) Leave it stock.
2) Use Screaming Eagle parts.
3) Use any aftermarket parts other than zippers.
4) Buy a 10 year old Goldwing.
5) Walk
6) Ride bitch with Ken.
7) Go to the drug store and buy a big jar of vaseline and then get on the phone and order zipper parts.

 ;)

A "rubber glove" inclusive physical is more fun and less expensive than trying to work with Zippers.

WOW !!! You guy's are ruthless. In defense of the the T-Max autotune system I have been using it for over 5k miles with no problems. The bike runs great with no issues. Oh well, to each his own !!

Which is part of the quandary CO.  Some have fine luck.  A fair number don't.  Some start out in good form and then later have issues.  If it's fine you're good.  And once again nothing but good wishes of good riding to those that have good luck with the product.  But God help those that don't.  Because Zippers sure won't.

Copout....

What kind of mileage to you get using the TMax?  I could never get more then low 30's during my frustrating past experience with the TMax / AT last year.

Ditto, no problems here after I changed from V&H true duals to the D&D's. The V&H were not compatible due to the sensor bungs.  Once I changed everything was sweet and still is.  My mechanic dealt with the Zipper's people and had no complaint  :nixweiss:
