Looking to see it there are folks who've got some experience with these ramps. Don't wanna invest in a trailer, so this might be a good alternative for me. Typicaly I can borrow a trailer, but hate to keep doing that, plus it'd be so rarely used...

Anyway, here's one that looks to be pretty good...any comments...

only thing I dont like about this ramp is that you have to depend on your tailgate.

I like mine.  Used them several times.  Used with a Condor wheel chock, you just ride the bike up and into the chock.  A couple of tie downs and you're good to go.

I like that simplicity. No issues with that heavy bike on the tailgate..?? I swear it makes me nervous when I see just 2 thin cables holding the tailgate as you drive onto to bed.

If you are worried about the bike weight on the tailgate why not look at this system? Lots of ways to make it custom fit your needs.

Most truck tailgates come off simply.  Two hand job and you just walk away with it (don't know why more don't get stolen).  When carrying the bike just remove the tailgate first and let the ramp work on the end of the truck bed.
