I've never bought an extended warranty before.  I did this time mainly because of the 110 issues.  Plus, as others have mentioned, all extra stuff on the Ultra that might fail.  I plan on keeping this one for a while, so that's why I bought the ESP.

bought the 7 year thinking I would run up a bunch of miles on my 07 SE ultra.  Didn't know of the leaking problems until this web site.   I have had no issues to date on my 110.  If I do I will be feeling  warm and fuzzy with the warranty in place.    have had a few service issues that required a part replacement that fell under the warranty.  good move on my part.   didn't get the wheel and tire thing though.

I'd suggest you buy the warranty if your going to keep the bike for the long haul. Conversations are easily forgotten or people change jobs and then your up the creek. He said she said no one will take responsibility. With this issue I would CMA. 8)

I have made 2 warranty claims on my 7 year plan which totaled about $400 after offset of my 2 $50 deductables.  So far it wasn't worth the money.  Then again, I have a 103 vs 110
