OK Guys

Purchased my '06 CVO from Annapolis HD - replaced tranny with Baker 6-Speed - added more chrome to better match the polished Baker tranny to the engine - shipped to San Diego where I am now working - and as you can tell with just now hitting 3k miles - I am not riding this bike at all.

Do you guys think I can sell this bike - what should I post it for and where (eBay, Motorcycle Trader, etc.).  The last thing I want is people coming to the house in San Diego and wanting to ride it - won't happen becuase the bike is mint.  Also - can the extended warranty go with the bike to seller?

Help....

Post it for sale right here in the selling section and see what kind of response you get. Many members have sold bikes here with good luck.

You can let anyone test ride it with a cash deposit of your asking price ;D

For pricing I would say in the mid-high 20's

The warranty is transferable, instructions for doing so should be with you paperwork.

I got the '03 SERK there and have had over 800 views and no offers still outside the sweet spot for the market-Effin CVO -I thought it would be worth more than a stock RK-

Great advice guys!  It's going be hard because I really got this bike set-up nicely - but damn if I'm just not riding it at all...

 ;D Post it and pray  ;D Whatever you add to it doesn't count to the value of the orginial bike as purchased. I bet if you list it for 19,500 it might sell after  april if you list it today.

I see several 2006 SEUC's listed on HD Trader for:
$26,695 / $27,500 / $28,340 / $26,000
mileage varies from 3800-10100

On the HD website, dealers have 8 - 2006 SEUC's:
http://www.harley-davidson.com/used_bikes/AdvancedSearch.jsp
$24,995 / $27,995 / $30,690 / $28,000 / $30,495 / $28,495 / $26,900 / $29,995
mileage varies from 2300-28,995

I believe that you can offer to sell the extended warranty with the bike or cash it in.

I see a lot of bikes listed on Craigslist month after month after month and it seems that bikes just don't sell to well there. I feel that people who buy a bike on craigslist want to pay way below book value. Your best bet would be to try several advertising methods CVOHarley forum , HD trader, Ebay (with a reserve that you can live with), Cycle Trader, Craigslist. I know several people who have had good luck with Ebay so that might be your best bet to get a fair price for your bike and the market area is much wider than just local advertising.

Yea - even with the Baker 6-Speed I'm only expecting around 20 something which is fine - I just hate looking at the bike in the garage and feeling guilty for not riding the damn thing.

Anyone try eBay Motor's and if so - was it positive?

here in Connecticut:
 tried a statewide newspaper (bargainnews), including its on-line edition for 6 weeks, no calls;
 place in Quebec (motoroute66), offered $25K US, didn't work out, give them a call, ask for Alain, tell him Bob says hello;
 so traded-in an 06 SEUC, autumn haze + black, 16K miles, LoJack, 7 year warranty, completely stock, couple scratches, $22K;

new 08 SEUC, copper + black, being prepped now, MSRP;

Here's what I think. The 06 still had the 103" motor. Tried and true. That's a huge plus to me over the 07. Also you have a Baker DD6 which IMO is fantastic. It was great bike from the factory and you've better'd it.What color is it by the way ? Also, can you list the additional items you've got on it. I may have a buyer. Friend of a friend I know is looking hard for one. He needs to know color, mileage and would like a list of options. Yes you can assign the ESP to the next owner.

I bought one of those drove it for 3 months put about 7000 miles on it. Sold it for 26000. Then bought an 08 SEUC. I have called the guy I sold it to 3 times trying to buy it back or trade for the 08. My own brother wouldn't take 27500 for it and told me to quit calling him. My advice, don't sell. Why did I think the 07 or 08 would be better.

John, I think the solution is simple.......  Ride it more!  That's why you bought it isn't it?

Ride it more?  I would if I had the time  :2vrolijk_21:

Kinda hard to think that when I 'm used to putting 8-12k a year on a bike for the last 10+ years that in the last 2 years I haven't even put 3k on this guy...

Yea - gonna keep her because when I can get back to riding - I can honestly admit that there is no bike better than mine - especially with that Baker 6-Speed!

In Fact - gonna put a few hundred on her this weekend! ;)
