Hi all,

I am a new member here, and signed up since I am planning a high perf Road King to be my next bike. I currently ride a tuned-up Honda VTX 1800 and am looking for a best way to get similar performance. I got my eyes on the new 110" FLHRSE but am a generally a little concerned buying anything with a brand new engine. The dyno charts here are definitely convincing but is the new engine reliable?

In terms of reliability, I have found the 110" to be excellent. I have 6,400 miles on mine since last December in all temperature ranges and have not as of yet had any engine problems at all. There are alot of different mods that can improve performance on these engines, I would refer you to Hoist/Twolanerider/Axil for any information regarding performance mods. Welcome aboard from Northern Virginia, and good luck with your purchase. You won't be sorry for buying a Harley.

Welcome to the sight from the Great Pacific North West. My 110 has only 400 miles I'll keep you informed and so far so good. Now my '03 SERK has 21K on a 103 and all flawless! It's for sale if you know anyone!

JT, welcome from western nY!  My barber rides a VTX 1800 and it is A LOT of motor.  I don't know how the dynos compare with a modified HD 110.  I think the versatility of going to the RK platform will open an infinite array of options for you though.
