This guy was an idiot....everybody knows that a .22 produces too small of a hole for RG-6 to pass through...obviously you need a .38 or .357 to make the proper-sized hole.  :wall: Jeeez.

Actually, when passing cable through something like a wall it is best to use a grommet, to prevent chafing of the cable and to help seal out the elements.  When choosing your tool for making the hole, it would be wise to determine the standard grommet size first.  I think in this case that would be a 1/2" OD grommet, and therefore you will need a .50 caliber hole.
