Was a good weather day today.
Around 60's to 70's.
First "Bike Night" of the year at Quaker Steak and Lube tonight.
Must have been 400 to 600 bikes there.
Was just getting dusk when we left the house and we rode the SERG.
I had cleaned it from the Copperhead adventure and it was looking good.
I have kind of a reserved spot to park the bike at Quaker Steak.
Everyone that walked by eyeballed it and it sure was looking good.
Lots of Jap bikes there and I enjoy them because when all else fails they do like to go fast.
The temps got a little nippley and we put on the lectric clothes for the ride home.
It's about 20 miles home from there and I set the SERG at 80 on cruise.
The Sony/Hawg Wired was sounding great and the motor was singing the "I love to cruise at 80 tune"
A sweet sweet 2 into 1 song!
As we were getting close to home something dawned on me.
My dad use to tell me, "Chip when a motor is running the best it can and ever has, be ready, it's about to blow!"
You know, I'd give up all the bikes I have just to have him here so we could take just one more ride together.
But, as I put up the SERG, set the heat, turned on the tunes in the garage and plugged in the battery tender I realized Dad was wrong. The SERG will be there ready for the next ride. I love that bike! Just wish my dad was here to go with us.
