Mine is P/N 32107-01H. It has a disc with it P/N 32117-01L. Don't know if this is what you need. Can it be copied, or is it protected? I haven't opened it or used the SERT or the software yet. If it's what you need and it can be copied, I should be able to help you out. Anyone know?

ADDED: This SERT is dated 9/10/07

I don't think that it will be a problem to copy the software...if it is protected (I am not so sure the MoCo is smart enough) there are programs that will do it anyway.  Their have been posts with all of the information down-loadable for all of the MAPs though they are old now.  I think the MoCo is lazy but should bone up if you force their hand.  They already have the market cornered by marrying the damn thing to your VIN anyway and that is where they make their money.  I hope that they are not trying to save money by not giving out a $.02 disk...if they want to learn how to produce those things in volume for cheap they can place a phone call to AOL they have been giving theirs away for years.

Just my $.02...maybe I should by a disk.  I also have a disk but my maps are from last summer and I am sure there are some newer ones out there on any of the new software.

Something sounds a little fishy about this, as in maybe the dealer is playing games to force you to pay him for the install???  Can't say for sure, but all previous editions of the SERT came with the CD, and the new "Super SERT" also comes with the software.  It makes absolutely no sense to sell a supposed "racing only" part and then expect the "racer" to return to the dealer after each pass on the strip for a little tweak.  Call some other dealers and see what kind of story they give you.

BTW, here's a link to the thread on the new "Super SERT":

I got a CD in the package along with the hookup to plug into the ECM. I will need to buy the cables from Harley to plug it into my laptop if I feel the need. :2vrolijk_21:

Mine is a 32107-01G (5/30/07 manufacture date) and has a CD but no part number on the CD (2007 listed on the CD).  On inserting the CD into my wife's iMac I see that it is called EFI_Tuner_V462.  There appears to be no copy protection on it and it does not even have a SN or a PN (it simply came in the box with the module).  Making a copy should be easy, but I don't know if this is the correct software for your SERT.

The CD had not even been opened, I imagine the dealer used his own software to prep my bike.  I haven't done the dyno tune on it yet, probably do that during the 1,000 mile service.  Might have to undo/redo it after I get to Germany where I may need to put my stock pipes back on the bike : (

The latest version is 477. I'm guessing, but I believe the differences between the versions are the different maps that come with it. As new maps are added, the version is changed.

My CD is P/N 32117-01J.  Right after I posted I saw the number on my CD.   :-[

Regarding the SERT is there any difference between my 32107-01G and the latest 32107-01J?  Is it simply that the CD it contains has newer maps on it, or is the actual module different?  As long as there is an included map for your bike is there any advantage to using a newer map (if one exists)?

After a Dyno tune are the maps irrelevant, or is there an still an advantage to using the latest map?

Sorry about asking so many questions!   ???

There's nothing special in the module. It's just the piece of hardware that connects to the ECM and allows the computer to talk to the ECM. In the end, the map that is being loaded is what's important. Since the ECM is not changing, any new versions of the software won't affect the tune of the bike.

If you're getting a dyno tune, the tuner is not using your software, only your dongle (interface).

If you want to buy a SERT and load a canned map for something close to your new bike, then the latest version may have a closer map.

It is my guess that once a map is built for a certain combination, it would be rare for them to go back and build a new map for that same configuration.

For the last version of the older style SERT, they sold the "Key" without the software for a reduced price.  All the previous versions of the SERT software disks are now "Pending Obsolete".  I believe the 32107-01L did not come with the SERT CD.  The 4.77 version of the CD was 32117-01L and was replaced with the last version 32117-01N, also version 4.77.  My understanding is the software didn't change but some of the MAP's did.  The latest version I have used is the "L" version of the software.

The new Super SERT part number is 32109-08.  The "Key" is easily identified since it has a RED button on it for the recording mode, from what I understand.  We have one on order but have not actually had it in hand yet.

Just ordered the CD from the dealer the other day. They had the cables in stock. You need the following.

32117-01N - CD Rom for $22
32108-08 - Cables for the SERT $30

After taxes about $56, HD is nickle and diming us to death.  >:(

I purchasing the SERT and had the dealer use it to set my bike to the closest map on the CD, which cost me just about $100.

HD = Hundred Dollars?  Seems about right  :D
