Passing Lamps Question '05 FLHPI
« on: April 05, 2008, 11:13:18 PM »

Working on replacing the passing lamps on an '05 FLHPI. The MoCo halogens are of an obviously different style than what's wired in those housings. Instead of the typical 2 tab setup, the halogens have a rubber boot casing, with a white ground wire, and it appears just the one accessible tab. Anyone ever change these out? Do I have to cut that rubber boot and rewire the halogen module? Not being an electrical wizard, I figured ask before cutting.

Manual? Both Police Bike included with the bike, and '05 Touring...Useless. Shocked? Not at all.

How new is new? The last pictures you posted they seemed to still be about the same color.

thats a good question, got them cheap..... i want them so i'd have the option of using h-3 bulbs and so the lenses would be a better match to the dual halogen head light.

i'll probally put some silverstar bulbs in

I don't even know what bulbs are in mine  :nixweiss:

Guess I should really check sometime.

Although, they are now wired to be on all the time, I like that.

I gotta look again. Seems like mine are wired differently. And I'm wondering if the Police bikes are set up differently with the pursuit lights vs. regular passing lamps.

Again...manuals are useless.

Wired for both high and low beam is something you have to do.

Wired for both high and low beam is something you have to do.

The H3 appeal to only have the one tab. So, I'm confused.
