Welcome from the Philly burbs,   quite a bit different from metric.......................

I am not sure of the "fat Chick " comparison though

Picked up an '08 SERK 105th Sunday.  Around 400 miles so far.  I've been riding 25 years but this is my first Harley.

Love the paint, reminds me of my acoustic guitar every time I look at the bike.
Decent enough power but I'm still re-calibrating from much faster bikes.
Surprisingly good handling, I was beveling the footboards within minutes of driving her off the lot.  It's like dancing with a fat chick that's light on her feet, a bit clumsy when you get started but a lot of fun once she gets moving.
I'll leave the backrest and windshield off unless I know it'll be an all day ride.
I love having useful saddlebags, don't know how I lived without them so far.
Can't stand the heel shifter, pulling that sucker off today and getting that little cap for the shaft instead.  That should give me more room to move my foot around.

Not much other than that I would change.  Might get the auxilary lights because I like that 3 headlight look.  Other than I'm just gonna take perfect care of her and ride her all the time.  I think I finally "get" what riding a Harley is all about.
I remember that awesome feeling when I switched to H-D! Enjoy and ride safe.

Welcome Airkuhl,
My first comparison after years of metrics was to my Cushman Silver Eagle. Just puttin around! Probably why some call them scooters! I will now trade horse power for torque any day.

Thanks for the welcome.

I mentioned that part about keeping it stock to some of my Harley buddies and they laughed for a quite a while.
Break me in slow because I snuck this one past the wife by telling her it's already custom so it's cheaper in the long run.   :D

Yea......we all went to the same school and used the same line. :huepfenlol2:   Stick around, more will be revealed....

I have to scrape them, I live up in the Santa Cruz mountains and there aren't any straight roads around here.  :nixweiss:  Can you make them foldable, like footpegs?

That looks like a great ride.  Someday when my kids are older I'll be able to do something like that.

And it didn't take long to get my first "mod", I just ordered a taller Clearview shield.  So I guess my  :cherry: is popped and it's all down hill from here.  I've been thinking about some RHTD's, a new A/C and a SERT, just strictly to lower operating temps of course.  :huepfenlol2:
