Harleys don't leak, they mark their territory 110ci
« on: April 08, 2008, 09:52:48 PM »

I almost did not buy my SE2 105th because of some of the post. I am glad I did not listen and bought it. I did have an issue and had to take it in 2 times. With that, service addressed the problem and it is running well. I like the looks.. I like the sound... I like the power. I had some work done at the time, would this increased odds of oil leak, maybe.. I am tired of reading the negative, if you like it buy it... This is not a 0-60 in 2 seconds.. This is not a bike the has your legs in your stomach.. This is a bike that shacks the house when started.. This is a bike that feels like it should be between my legs, sounds a little strange to say that, but it just fits.... It is a bike that I love to look at and ride. It is a bike that others wish they could have. It is bike that people stop and come over to look at. I have the 105th paint job.. The gold trim is crazy!! I love the look. I like the other 2 colors also. Will it hit the shop again, it might, but I don't care! I will be calling each day to find out when she is ready. At this time, I don't expect to have her in the shop anytime soon. 1000 mile oil change is coming. will dyno and play with baffles. Change your head gasket if you have the 110ci and enjoy the power if you get it unlocked from stock. This post is to talk about the positive.. This board seems to be like the news in many cases.  :soapbox:

I like mine, doing the first 500 on it now, adding a oil cooler, already have a VH Big Radius 2into1 with the new SERT on it. Its marked its territory one long deep black burn out in the shop floor after the last change in the SERT  :orange: keeps running like this and that back tire is gona have a short life  :drink:

I'm with you guys.  I've had mine a little over a year and have yet to cover it when it's parked because I just like to stare at and admire it.

My son found me sitting on my 2008 Springer in the garage during our long March.  He said, "Dad, that is really sad."  He's got no idea.  Whenever I turn back on my ride, I'm torn between going home and going on.  I agree 100% with the sentiments you all have expressed.  I'll accept the problems, come what may, for the smile on my face.  Just put a set of Bub 7 2 into 2's on it.  I laugh out loud at the sound.  It's an absolute blast.

You got it. When my son came home from college on spring break he drove over to the shop to service his truck out, when he walked in I was sitting on the springer, he walked over and got on the streetglide and said where our we riding too. I said lets go through Dark Canyon and over to Sitting Bull falls, so in our mindset we took off, hey look at those deer, he said man that one is a nice buck, I said he would look good with my crosshairs on his front shoulders we laughed. Well his mother had walked in and we had not noticed  she said Oh good lord what did I marry and what did we raise. So the ride ended to soon and we walked out of the shop into the cold blowing wind and got in her car and went to eat. But it was a good ride while it lasted  :pepper:

Absolutely fantastic stories and attitudes.  I was not aware of all the complaining, but a couple of folks had a couple of issues.  But how one handles them when they come up is the show of character.  Glad you have had not any major problems and hope nothing major ever happens.  Keep enjoying those bikes, cause they are all gorgeous.

I have 746 miles on mine and I love every bit of it. The color, ride, sound  and power. It isn't leaking yet,but if it does I'll go get it fixed. I'm glad I got it.

I got mine March 26, been driving it everyday since (I don't have a cage). Got 1900 miles on it and it is running great. Had the dealer put V&H Oval slipons, SE AC, and SERT with performance muffler map download from day one.

As everyone says, if it leaks, I'll have HD fix it.

I too felt like you. That WAS until two weeks ago when my $30,000 ride began to LEAK! Good luck and I hope your optimism precludes you from the HD money machine.
