purchased gas in QC,QC this morning. current CAD->USD is about 1:1 the pump shut of at $100 CAD and i wasnt full yet on a 24 gallon tank

And I read that it's only going higher.
This will show my age, but I now spend more on fuel in a week that I earned at my first job!
And gas was 19 cents then.

I remember getting 90 miles to the gallon.  Not gas.  Beer.  A gallon would usually last for 90 miles or so, maybe even a hundred & sometimes more. Olden days, when one could drink & drive legally.

I heard about drive through beer and liquor stores in the south.  Legal to drive as long the beverage was in a different container.  That's funny.  That's how I do it now.

I remember when you told me how much diesel you go through in a week, Chip.  Still, it took me a month to make that much on my first job............and that wasn't too terribly long after your's. 
I'm not at all looking forward to the trip to the diesel pump tomorrow.
