I am just wondering when it will get high enough for people
to slow down on consumption. Now gallons sold is up from
this time last year everywhere around here. Just no incentive
to drop the price. The oil company's are going to get all they
can out of us.

The only way to make any effect at all is to have many "no gas buying days" in succession until it cripples the oil companies. Then there is a remote chance they will pay attention, otherwise they will adopt H-D's approach to the problems.

My first ride was a CB400F.  It was phenomenal on gas mileage.
I was told to stay away from H-D in "76".

What really needs to happen is Wall Street needs to quit trading so high on oil. That is what is driving prices up not the oil companies. This is a very good opportunity to buy oil stock and so wall street knows that so they keep increasing the share prices. It just keeps going higher and higher!! Everyone with big money is getting rich except your basic American like me.

This is a very good opportunity to buy oil stock and so wall street knows that so they keep increasing the share prices. It just keeps going higher and higher!! Everyone with big money is getting rich except your basic American like me.

Don't ever one rush to grab the rope to string me up at once, but if you look at how much the oil companies have invested in capitol. Their return on the dollar is about equal to other sectors such as Pharmaceuticals, electronics, etc.... the big difference is that they have a much larger amount invested therefore there return is larger... everyone seems to just look at how much they made in a single quarter or year, but to be able to objectively compare these companies to any other company you much first average out profit per share.....

On the Sedona trip: Lowest price = $3.559 in AZ & Highest price =$4.599 in CA

Odd for Californians to see only two selections at the pump 87 & 91 at some stations, we usually have 87, 89 & 91 at most places. But then of course the CARB messing up the whole system.
