There won't be any profit to redistribute at this rate.  What about the Windfall profits tax.  The sky is falling.................

A hefty Capital Gains tax increase will be just as spiffy as a Windfall profits tax - since the  cap. gains disappeared a month ago.

When the sky falls here we call it "Liquid Sunshine".  I wonder if a brokerage called "Chicken Little Falling Sky Investments" would be a good name for an energy investment concern?

I hear you. But I STILL hate the oil companies!!  Regular was $4 when oil was $140 a barrel.  It closed yesterday around $63 a barrel.  I did my gizintas on that figure and seems to me that gas ought to be somewhere around $1.80 and its still averaging $2.59 here in VA.  So don't feel too bad for Exxon, they're not going out of business anytime soon!

S'ok to hate the oil companies.  I was in a filthy gas station restroom this week, and figure the CEO could at least keep the damn thing clean.  He appeared to be busy making book on the phone instead of tending to his chores as best I could tell.  Smelled like an outhouse for swine with an Exlax diet, sorta.

In some states with refineries gas is hitting the $1.90 range & depending on SUPPLY, prices will adjust in other markets as well.  One problem is the incredibly dumb CAFE crap where gas has to be made in a brazillion differing formulas for differing markets due to BS air quality standards that are all over the map instead of STANDARDIZED. Plays heck with the supply chain of gasoline in certain markets (price).

If any care to look at historical oil prices they go up, then they go down.  Then they go up, then they go down. Up, down.  Like a see saw, but our media treats the "ups" as EVIL Greed & yawns at the downs.  Demonizing imitation butter coated popcorn at the movies would be preferred by me, but I do not own any media conglomerates to start my scathing attack on artificially colored and flavored yellow imitation butter type oils. While I do not hate this Evil Big Oil, I can understand why some do.

I paid $1.99 today. I think that was $.30+/- less then what I paid a couple weeks ago.

I was pleasantly surprised to see $1.79 at a spot just out of town this afternoon.  Didn't need fuel but still almost stopped to top off on the Kool Aid.

Which was very reasonable when premium was 4.30.
NOW, is another story.
But fortunately the 09 can only use premium not the Cam II.
At least it can't this week!

That quote ain't from me buying the stuff, Chip.  When I was in Hanceville last Saturday, there was a gentleman there with a Luxury Blue 02 Ultra (so familiar to me) that had a Jims 131 in it.  He also had a chain drive secondary about which he was concerned, so he asked Rod to have a gander.  As Rod rolled his machine on the lift, I couldn't help but notice the ashen appearance of his Rinehart Exhaust, so I asked him what he was running.  He told me he runs 1 gallon of 111 to 3 gallons of 93, "but that 111 is $8.02 a gallon."
Yeah.....I agree, that is high, but when all you have to measure against is 93.....heck, I wouldn't know what high is when it comes to that racin' fuel. 
Matter of fact......the first time I ever saw the ashen residue was when when I met you in Nancy in MV last year......and I didn't think too much of it......just thought you ran your bikes lean.  Then when you explained CAM II at CHL this March, it cleared things up.  So I learned that ashen exhaust means the rider is running something other than, or in addition to, pump gas.  I never even knew the stuff was available, and wouldn't know where to go or who to ask to get it.
