New "B" 110 Head Gasket w/o a HD part number
« on: April 09, 2008, 05:43:00 PM »

I was going through my take off parts from my 117 motor build. With the new 110 cylinder was a plain packing envelope containing two new head gaskets. I am by no means a mechanic in any sense of the word. I looked this gaskets over and observed no HD part number on them. I decided to take photos of them to post so those in the know could give em a look.

Are these the "new" head gaskets the MoCo is putting out to stop the leaks? Are they just one of the earlier variations?

The material is a composite, silver with a pattern impressed in it. The ring around the cylinder opening is black and stiffer than the rest of the gasket. This material is one piece and continues around the studs that protrude from the top of the cylinders. No paper work was in the envelope. I did not know I had this until several days after I brought the bike home.

Just thought I'd share this. It may be of no value to anyone but...

You are correct. This is the 16801-07B gasket that has just gone into the system. It was reported in another thread that they were on backorder. You could probably sell those. :2vrolijk_21:

That is some good stuff it took care of the problem with the Ajax cylinder head, just be careful with it and dont use any type of sealer or compound at all on theml.
