2006 NEW CVO...
« on: May 05, 2005, 07:28:02 AM »

I had a chat with my dealership yesterday... and they confirmed 1 bike that will be built next year on the CVO platform........ The ULTRA CLASSIC... Now that should command some EXTRA $$$$ !!! Don't have color info yet, but they said that they know this will be one of them for the next go round...  [smiley=beerchug.gif] [smiley=beerchug.gif] [smiley=beerchug.gif]

I'd have to wait and see what it has that mine doesn't before I'll make a decision to trade, but it doesn't surprise me that they would be doing an Ultra given the success of the SEEG during its two year run. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

That is interesting how does your dealer know??  I heard all twin cams will be 95in but won't believe it till I see it.  Well I guess she could have rear speakers.

Maybe your dealer is out SEEG2 but is trying to keep a customer in the fold to make a sale to later on.  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

That  will be a great encore to the success of the SEEG's.And very easy for the CVO factory to gear up to make with no effort,or big  production cost's.

After seeing the tour of the CVO operations in York, on a Friday night they could stop production of the '05s and on Monday Morning start the '06s.  And that includes taking the weekend off!

I should have taken one of the Air Cleaner inserts!

Ultra would be a smart move for them as no need for alot of changes to the assembly line and SEEG has done well but I'm still betting on the Road Glide.  Poor SE Glide's are underpowered with that lil 95... [smiley=laugh.gif]   Start the cycle over with a 103 Glide with stock 6 speed...makes the most sense to me.  But then again I thought Enron was a winner. [smiley=nervous.gif]

There's not enough difference between an Electra Glide Classic (SEEG platform) and an Electra Glide Ultra to justify another run.  Would seem like exploiting a good run to me... kinda like the extra long 2003 model year.  [smiley=dunce2.gif]

Just install more chrome, a CB, and rear speakers and you have an Ultra.  Seems to me that EVEN HD wouldn't do that.  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]  It'd be like making a SE Road King Classic a year after the SE Road King.  They are the same thing!

Plus they're due for another RG. [smiley=laugh.gif]   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Only CVO for '06 is the Sportster.  RG is on the table for an early '07 release.
