The black looks good. I pretty much had to have mine painted due to the red. Your picture looks sharp, so it's what ever you think.

That is a tough call, it looks pretty good with the black bags...but that would be the easy and less costly way out. I vote for spending the big bucks and painting the bags to match the bike. After all, it is a CVO and you want it to look great don't you?

It is difficult to see any differance from the picture . If it is that close from 3' away I would leave it alone. Nice bike. KB

that really is not a question to ask, Paint them!!!!! You will like them so much better.  IMO there are plenty of bikes with hard bags and painted to match..

Since the riding season is practically here I'd leave 'em black for this year because they look pretty good as-is. This winter you can get them painted to match the bike. That gives you plenty of time to design your paint scheme too.

Be sure you find a reputable place to get them painted though. My hardbags have been at one painter or another since February of '07...  :-\ They've had their first birthday without me!  :'( I'd just like to be able to use them now...  ???

I have no "pony" is this race.....I say leave them black....they look great with your bike's "theme".....and if you decide to run your bike as a CVO just run your leather bags again......then if you are married take your wife out to dinner or buy her a gift and thank her for all of her unconditional love with all the money you are saving..... :2vrolijk_21:

NO PAINT!  NO PAINT!      :o

Except of course the blue flames that match the blue paint....  Or the celtic runes and knots...   or, whatever.   Just a little something to tie it all together.  The black and blue looks great together, you just need to tie the pieces together with a little custom something.

If you paint them blue to match, then they're just another set of hard bags...

just an opinion.  from a woodworker.  what do I know.  My bike is all red.  just like everybody elses.........

Hey you beat me to the punch again!!!!! I say paint them with the with the blue stripe/swoosh and ghost flames so I can see how well your painter does and then do mine.... I should have some gun metal blue 03 bags coming soon that I can ask the same paint or no paint question on.

Not well done photoshop

Okay, I was trying to straddle the fence, but what I really think is - Paint them, they complete the bike! The Screamin' Eagle stands out straight from MOCO, but do a few little extras to it and you get the "WOW Factor".
