110" 120 Hp, 126.2 Ft Lbs. ;)

Dyno chart here.

BTW, it's a SERK3, not a B/G SERG. Don understands my warped sense of humor! ;D

Well Mr. Hoist, it looks like you got some good numbers out of your
110. Just hope it stays together this time. I know you have spent
a lot of $$$ on it. Yea and your bike will be faster than mine even
though I don't want to admit it. Best of luck with the engine.

Thanks Mark. It runs as good as my dyno chart shows it should too. And I've no reason to believe it won't hold up. There ain't no crappy HD 110 parts left except cases and the head cores! The's what it takes to fix a 110 that can take Hoist's abuse!!! ;)

A mea culpa had to be added to this post : :huepfenlol2:

http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=22485.msg361577#msg361577

Got a phone call earlier today from a blue bike wanting to brag to a red bike!  Ok, it was actually a blue bike's happy owner.  But it's the same thing!

Chip had the blue SERG on John and Sandy's dyno and reported that it kicked it's little red bottom.  If I could quickly find a smiley showing spanking I'd out it here!

It sounded like the report they were using for comparison was from one of the earlier runs in the session.   A few steps got saved.  But the other red bike got spanked nonetheless :huepfenlol2: :bananarock: .

So, giving credit where credit is due: :znotworthy:

Don

Our results may not be as much as some but, based on history I'm expecting ours to last a lot longer.
Besides at 15K or less for what you or I have how can anyone with 5 times as much in theirs even want to compare?
Don't answer that, the answer is obvious.
Will post the sheets when we get home!
Sandy and John both said to say hello.
Sandy got a kick out of doing the comparison sheet.
She said, "I bet I will hear from Don on this."

I'm glad you got in to see them and especially glad you are pleased with their efforts.  John is great to tune and they are both a lot of fun to hang around a dyno trailer with.  The other red bike's new windshield arrived Thursday or Friday so it's happy too.  That's got to be a win-win weekend :2vrolijk_21: .

Hey TwoLane- Where can I find John and Sandy's Dyno?  Sounds like it would be worth a trip to get my SERG done by them...

Anyone within range does themself a favor by visiting Rolling Thunder dyno.  Check them out here:  http://www.rollingthunderdyno.com/

The "Events" button on the top left will give you their travel/rally schedule.  In between the events you can catch them here in Joplin.  After you speak with them and set something up let me know if it's here in Joplin.

That is almost a couple hours closer to you then Joplin.  Fort Smith is just a big ugly flat spot next to Oklahoma.  But that's where the dyno will be.  That's the important part.

Let me know if you decide to make that a go and I'll try to get down to meet up.

I'll definitely let you know.  Right now I'm trying to find the best tuner withing a thousand miles or so  of Dallas, Texas, (any sugestions welcomed).  Joes Cycle up in New York somewhere is supposedly the best in the country but I don't have the time for that length of a trip in the forseeable future.  I looked over the website you suggested and noticed that they use the Dynojet Tuning Link program to generate a custom map.  I have heard several statements to the effect that this program is NOT the best way to generate a high quality custom map.  What is the group opinion on this software?  Is this the method you and Chip used to get the dyno numbers you have referenced on this and other threads?

Robert,

I have heard some good things about a guy in Richardson.  A little closer that Ft Smith.

Ed Dahr, 214-675-0051 or edd.five@verizon.net

Not sure which he perfers, PC or SERT.

I would be interested in what he has to say and if you end using him, what you think.  He was recommened by Brian Todd in Allen.

I recommend John and Sandy Golden. He did my bike and I feel that he got the
most hp/tq possible from my intake/exhaust and engine setup. My bike starts
when you just touch the start button and runs GREAT! I got 16hp and 13ft-lbs
over the base line run. Just as important, he did it quickly. Some people take
3,4 up to 6 hrs on the dyno making pull after pull and flogging your bike hard.
Mine was on the dyno a total of 45 minutes. With each run you could tell it
was improving. Also the seat-of-the-pants dyno says it is a big improvement.
There may be better tuners out there, but I don't see how they could be much
better if any better. And the BIGGEST reason to go with John and Sandy is
that TWOLANERIDER RECOMMENDS THEM and we all know Don knows best :huepfenlol2:

That's a question you'd be best directing to John or Sandy.  Updating the website (beyond the travel schedule) isn't something that's been done much.  I know John got an entire new dyno about a year ago.  And Sandy has done more then one software upgrade over that same time.  But specifically what they're using I'd not have a clue.

I can only say that John's work, no matter what software tool they're using, produces not just satisfactory numbers but also very good running bikes.  Those two aren't always the same thing.

 :2vrolijk_21:

Never fuss at Sandy.  She's an absolute doll.  That is one of the early pulls.  They saved a few steps in the process.  It picked up from there to whatever the final total was.  But the general shape of the torque curve stayed nice and flat like that.  Not every pull had that little bit of clutch slippage that shows up in that one either.  Put in the stronger spring since then to deal with it though.

No matter who ends up tuning my bike, I'm heading up to Arkansas to dyno my SERG.  We can then compare the Fat Cat, Pro Pipe, and the Supertrapp 2:1 pipes directly on the same dyno.  Maybe we could organize a mini dyno shootout for any SERG with an AC, pipe, and pc/SERT?
