SERT download failure
« on: April 20, 2008, 12:14:06 PM »

What's up with this?Fine tuning with SERT,did a couple of downloads yesterday no problem, attemted another today, went to 40% error, every precaution taken as usual, battery charger on,computer pluged in,no adapters etc.Disconnected battery, waited several minutes, nothing, disconnected ecm, nothing, this happened before, but was using an adapter, had to bring ecm to send back to MOCO.Any explanantion why this happens?

After speaking with Springer, who is obviously very willing to share his knowledge of SERT operation, had VIN reinstalled by dealer and have loaded 2 modified maps without a problem,no battery charger connected to bike while loadng, smooth sailing.
Springer thank you again.

Interesting observation noted while making changes to map and test riding bike, had V-Rod plugs in gapped at .040,any time twisted it over 4k,engine light would come on,checked code P 605 cleared code.Put in Autolite 4163's  same gap, light never came on,not complaining just a strange thing.
